We are discussing options to make gold, and some include selling loot to alts, pugs, or forcing BoEs to be given to the bank to be sold.
I’m personally in favor of selling gear to alts. People’s alts get geared with Heroic loot, and bank gets a big gold deposit. What are other guilds doing to make some gold? Reply With Quote. It feels like fuild should go with BoE, imo. Reason being, selling gear to alts is not a very nice option, especially if they are pulling their weight. Using your guild members’ gold to replenish your guild bank seems like a taxation, even if it is to gear their alt.
I doubt your members will agree with such techniques and will most likely end up in drama. Charge a membership fee for the guild.

Selling BoEs in the past has been one of the primary ways we generate revenue. Early in the tier, they go towards gearing our raid, middle of the tier they go to the raid bank for selling or equipping new members if we have anyand then at the end of the tier when they aren’t worth anything anyway wo, I just let people keep ’em for alts or the AH. Probably missing a decent profit by not selling them right off the bat, but unless we’re totally broke — and we never have been — I’d rather those go towards improving the gear of the raid.
Also if you can get people to donate mats for cauldrons and feasts and enchants and gems, etc, for the guild, you’ll save quite a lot of money not having to buy. There’s usually always some people who like gathering mats and are happy to do it periodically, or people sitting on piles and piles of bloods that are willing to spend them for the good of the guild. I have an hkw generous group of raiders, so I’ve basically needed to buy materials for the guild only one or two times this whole expansion.

We have all the raiders farm bacon on all their alts, then we make a ton of feasts each week. Make between grand every week from. If you are not willing to be flexible then you will not make gold. Right now the easiest way is to sell 15 carries or heroic argus carries. Do that and you will make enough gold to keep your guild afloat for months.
My first Legion guild simply asked raiders for monthly donations, in form of gold or mats for consumables. I thought most players were awash with gold.
